Thank you, thank you Perth and particularly the wonderful appreciative audience of the Astor Theatre in Perth WA. It was a fabulous night and great to meet so many Shirley fans and you made me feel so at ease with your lovely, warm welcome. A great night to start the tour off with. Next stop is Mandurah and the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre on Saturday before flying back across Australia and onto New South Wales and Wagga Wagga.

All set up in the dressing room with the wigs, sparkles and feathers and these beautiful flowers arrive - from my Mr C from St Anne's Florist in Perth WA Now getting prepared to soundcheck soon - horn section are arriving in a wee while. The backdrop you see here is the backdrop used on one of DSB's tours here in Australia and our lighting man, Jerry, is from Vegas originally and has worked with none other than Cher. I met the incredible band that will be backing me in the shows here in Australia today and I couldn't be happier. What a lovely bunch of guys they are - and incredibly talented. Led by the wonderful MD Steven Isoardi, all went well and we are ready to fly to Perth with our promoter Ben Maiorana on Thursday, ready for Friday's show at The Astor Theatre and Saturday's show at Mandurah Performing Arts Centre.
